JAMMU, Mar 9: At least five drug peddlers were held here today with 43 grams of heroin, police said.
They said 31 grams of heroin was recovered at Valmiki Chowk area from three accused identified as Mushtaq Khan, Irfan Mehmood of Gujjar Nagar and Rashid Ali of Bathnidi while 12 grams of heroin was recovered at Nud from two people identified as Rajinder Kumar @Rickey of Jourian and Sanjeet Kumar of Rattanpur, Gajansoo, Marh.
“Police in Gandhi Nagar and Akhnoor have registered cases under relevant sections of the law and taken up further investigations,” said a police spokesperson.
