Five injured in fire due to gas leakage

JAMMU, June 11: Fiver persons including two girl children were injured today in a fire incident in Sunjuwan area of city outskirts, allegedly due to gas leakage.
According to a police spokesman, the mishap occurred in a rented room at Sunjuwan area falling within the limits of police post Bathindi, this morning, when one of the female members of the family lighted a matchstick to light the LPG stove.
In the mishap, five persons of the family sustained minor injuries. They were identified as Majhubeen (20) daughter of Mohd Shafi Malik, Nisa (20) daughter of Zaskar Ahmed, Noor Mohd (45) son of Abdul Aziz and his two daughters namely Ruhab (3) and Rakiza (9), all residents of Sangladan, Ramban (at present Sunjuwan).
They were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, and discharged after providing treatment. The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
