JAMMU, Dec 17: At least five persons were injured in separate road accidents in Jammu District today.
A police official said that one Sunny Lokesh Kumar (19) son of Ajeet Kumar of Chohala, RS Pura, sustained injuries near his home after the bike he was riding on slipped off the road.
One Ram Dayal (50) son of Tanshu of Madhya Pradesh at present Paloura, was hit by a car near his present accommodation, resulting in injuries to the middle-aged man, said the police official.
At Kangrail area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kanachak, the police official said that one Jacob Kandarya (32) son of Subash Messi of Ghou Manhasa suffered injuries after his bike slipped off the road.
He further said that a couple identified as Ashwani Kumar (45) son of Chatru Ram and his wife, Anju Balla (40), both residents of Kullian, sustained injuries when their motorcycle collided with another bike at Gagian, RS Pura.
According to the police official, all the injured persons have been admitted to the Government Medical College Jammu separately where they are undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, cases under the relevant sections of the law have been registered at the concerned police stations and further investigations taken up.
