Five injured in separate road accidents

JAMMU, Dec 16: Five people sustained injuries in separate road accidents in Jammu district today.
A police official said that one Joginder Kour (70) wife of late Santok Singh of Govind Nagar Camp, Talab Tillo, Jammu, was hit by an e-rickshaw at Talab Tillo Chowk, resulting in injuries to the elderly woman.
At Sidhra area, he said, one Jameel (22) son of Mohammad Sadeeq suffered injuries when his motorcycle was hit by a car near HDFC Bank.
Two persons, identified as Pankaj (25) son of Parveen Kumar of Gole Pulli, Talab Tillo, Jammu, and Bashir Ahmed (50) son of Salam Mohammad of Mahore, Reasi, suffered injuries when an auto load carrier hit a motorcycle near Yoga Ashram, Gole Gujral, said the police official.
One Chanda Diwan (65) wife of Rakesh Vardhan Diwan of Sector 2, Roop Nagar, Jammu, was injured outside her home when she was hit by a car, the police official further said.
According to him, all the injured were separately taken to Government Medical College Jammu, where they are responding to the treatment.
Meanwhile, cases under the relevant sections of the law have been registered at concerned police stations and further investigations started.
