Five new cases of swine flu in Delhi

NEW DELHI:
Five new cases of swine flu were reported today in the national capital taking the total figure to 40 so far this year.
Swine flu has claimed three lives till now. Yesterday a 38-year-old woman from Uttam Nagar succumbed to the H1N1 virus at Ram Manohar Lohiya (RML) hospital.
“Till yesterday, the figure stood at 36 but then one case was eliminated from the list as it was not a case of swine flu,” said a senior official from the Health department.
The new cases reported today are of a 45-year-old man (address not confirmed) admitted in Aruna Asaf Ali Government Hospital, 44-year-old man (Mahavir Nagar) undergoing treatment at Sir Ganga Ram hospital, a 16-year-old youth (Prem Nagar) undergoing treatment at RML hospital, 23-year-old woman (Ashok Vihar) being treated at St Stephen’s hospital and 35-year-old woman (Siddhartha Extension) treated at Holy Family hospital.
