Five notorious drug peddlers arrested

JAMMU, July 6: Gandhi Nagar Police arrested five notorious drug peddlers and recovered 32 grams of heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Gandhi Nagar laid a naka and intercepted two vehicles.
During checking, police team recovered 32 grams of heroin from the possession of the five persons and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Nikhil alias Abhi, son of Avtar Singh of Gurah Slathia District Samba, Arif Hussain, son of Sher Mohd of Belicharana District Jammu, Mohinder Lal, son of Tarsem Lal of Miran Sahib District Jammu, Manpreet Singh, son of Gurcharan Singh of Channi Rama, District Jammu and Narinder Singh, son of Daler Singh of Jawahar Nagar, District Rajouri, at present Bakshi Nagar, District Jammu.
Cases under FIR Numbers 162/2022 and 163/2022 under relevant sections of NDPS Act have been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Pankaj Sharma and assisted by PSI Majid Shafi and PSI Sonu Choudhary made the arrests under the supervision of SDPO South Sachit Sharma and SP South Mamta Sharma.
