JAMMU: The State Government has disbursed over Rs 700 crore to the 2014 flood victims for house resconstruction in nine districts.
“Disbursement of financial assistance under the Prime Minister’s Reconstruction Plan has crossed Rs 700 crore mark. The disbursement has been completed in nine districts — Ganderbal, Baramulla, Udhampur, Kishtwar, Shopian, Kupwara, Kulgam, Jammu and Kathua”, an official spokesman said.
He said, as per the reports received by Governor N N Vohra Rs 700.47 crore has been disbursed to 1,01,773 flood-affected persons during the last one week.
A sum of Rs 311.42 crore was distributed in Srinagar district, Rs 33.49 crore in Budgam, among other places. (AGENCIES)
