KARGIL, Aug 3: To pay the homage to the martyr Constable Mohd Raza, No. 1461 of UTDRF Unit, Kargil who has given supreme sacrifice while conducting a rescue operation at Drass river near Kaksar bridge during the accident of a private vehicle on July 22, 2023, a wreath lying ceremony was held here.

The martyr police personal received a severe head and back injury during rescue operation and was immediately shifted to District Hospital Kargil where doctors after examination referred him to SKIMS Soura Srinagar for further treatment and finally Mohd Raza succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday at SKIMS.
Today, a wreath laying ceremony was held at District Police Lines Kargil. During the ceremony, Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC Kargil, Deputy Commissioner Kargil, SSP Kargil and other District Police Officers/officials paid floral tribute to the martyr Constable and Guard of Honour was given to the Martyr who laid down his life on line of duty. Kargil Police paid rich floral tributes and homage to the martyr constable.

Your unwavering dedication and supreme sacrifice while conducting the rescue operation will forever be remembered. Your courage and commitment to the line of duty are an inspiration to all of us. Rest in peace, and may your sacrifice never be forgotten. You will always be honored and cherished in our hearts,” CEC said.
