FM to raise issue of slain Kashmiri biz-man with Russia

Srinagar, Apr 16: A month after a Kashmiri businessman was hacked to death by unidentified goons in Russia, the Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj today said she would take up the matter with the Russian authorities during her visit.
Yasir Shirazi, 27, a businessman from Hassanabad neighbourhood of Srinagar, was returning to his hotel when some unidentified robbers hit him on his head with a rod causing serious wounds last month at Kazan city of Russia. He succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
His death was announced by Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj on micro-blogging site, Twitter and had assured that she would take up the matter with Russian authorities.
The Foreign Minister today took to Twitter and announced her Moscow visit and informed about her agenda which also included the murder issue of the slain Kashmiri businessman.
“I am going to Moscow. The final investigation report into fire tragedy in which we lost Pooja Kallur and Krishma Bhonsle is on my agenda,” she wrote.
Regarding Yasir, she further wrote: “I will also take up the matter of Yasir an Indian national from Srinagar who was killed in Kazan (Russsia)”.
