FMPHWs deputation discusses demands with Dir Family Welfare

JAMMU, June 12: A joint deputation of Jammu Kashmir Female Multi Purpose Health Workers Association (FMPHWA) Jammu Province and Jammu Kashmir Family Welfare MCH & Immunization Employees Association Jammu Division met Dr Chander Prakash, Director Family Welfare MCH & Immunization in his office chamber at Nagrota and projected their demands.
The deputation was led by Sushil Sudan, UT president, Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF). In the meeting, Neelam Kumari, provincial president, FMPHWA drew attention of the Director towards the pending demands of Family Welfare employees which were not resolved yet. She said that in month of December 2019, former Director Family Welfare J&K Arun Sharma had assured that it would be implemented in letter & spirit but nothing was done till date.
The demands discussed in the meeting include releasing regular salary of employees every month, clearing DPC at par with Government Medical College/Drug and Food Control Organization in the pattern of Executive order passed by the Administrative department, promotion of Senior/Higher grade vacant posts of eligible employees and publishing seniority list on department website.
Other demands such as creation of posts of LHVs, Extension Educator and JHI in newly created medical blocks of all districts of the Jammu division, sanctioning of 317 posts of LHV’s under the central scheme and implementation of amendment of SRO-20 dated 24-02-1992 which is pending since more than 28 years also came up for discussion.
Director, Family Welfare MCH & Immunization listened to the deputation patiently and assured to resolve all the demands one by one in letter in spirit as early as possible.
Those who attended the meeting were Kamla Devi, district president FMPHW Samba, Shakti Devi, district president FMPHW Reasi, Rakesh Khajuria, president FWMCH & Immunization, Naveen Kumar, general secretary FWMCH & Immunization and Deepak Jamwal, spokesperson FWMCH & Immunization.
