FMPHWs protest dharna enters 10th day

JAMMU, Sept 5: The protest dharna of Jammu Kashmir Female Multipurpose Health Workers’ in support of their demands including permanent solution of salary head 2211, entered 10th day, today.
Led by Neelam Kumari, president, FMPHWs Welfare Association, employees staged dharna at Madam Shashi Bala Memorial Park in the premises of Directorate of Health Services, Jammu. They raised slogans against Government for not fulfilling their long pending demands including permanent solution of salary head 2211, release of pending salaries, delinking the CSS salary from the funding sources (Corpus-delinking), release of pending salary since March 2018, fixation of job functions of FMPHWs at par with other working categories of Health Sector, up gradation of the post of FMPHW on the analogy of Pharmacist, Lab Tech X-Ray Tech, Dental Tech and Ophth Tech.
They also demanded creation of post of LHVs in new PHCs, publication of seniority list of FMPHWs in the official website of the Health Department for bringing transparency in promotions, 50% quota to be allotted in favour of trained LHVs at par with MMPHSs promoted as Health Educators and amendment of SRO 20 dated 20-04-1992 which is pending in the administrative department for last 27 yrs.
Among those who take part in the protest were Surya Akhter, Sapna Gupta (general secretary), Kamla Devi, Soma Devi, Pushpa Devi, Swaran Kour, Rani Devi, Urmil Devi, and Mamta Devi.
