JAMMU, Jan 24: Balbir Kaur, former sarpanch of Jammu’s border Panchayat Trewa, has received a special invitation from the Modi Government to attend the Republic Day program in recognition of her continuous efforts in promoting development.
The invitation extends to individuals who have been praised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Mann Ki Baat program for their outstanding contributions in political, economic, social, and other fields.
Kaur, known for her dedication, had constructed a quarantine centre in her panchayat during the pandemic and played a crucial role in safeguarding the residents.
Her commendable work includes the construction of paved streets, drains, and roads in the panchayat, addressing issues of electricity and water, and actively implementing various public welfare schemes initiated by the Modi Government.
In addition to her developmental initiatives, Kaur has focused on combating drug-related challenges among the youth.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has lauded her exemplary work.
