Focus on co-curricular activities: Laway to teachers

JAMMU, Sept 17: “Education should not be restricted within four walls of the classroom and focus should be laid on organizing co-curricular programmes including seminars, debates, competitions, symposiums, and sports activities for overall development of students.”
Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha and member of Consultative Committee Ministry of Human Resource Development Nazir Ahmad Laway today gave these instructions to the faculty of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kachi Chawni during his visit to the school.
Laway also interacted with students and advised them to make use of knowledge for bringing constructive changes in the society. He also announced Rs 1.60 lakh for the construction of computer lab, installation of water cooler, furniture, renovation of toilet and installation of portraits of national heroes in the school.
Later, the MP also visited Government Mixed Higher Secondary School (Migrants), Roop Nagar and interacted with students, Deputy CEO, Jammu S S Rathore & ZEPO, Jammu B L Sharma accompanied the MP during the visit.
