Fodder Scam: Lalu Yadav appears in special CBI court

RANCHI: Former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav today appeared before the special CBI court here in connection with the multi crore fodder scam case.

Mr Yadav appeared before the court of special CBI judge Shivpal Singh in connection with case number RC 64A/96 which is related to fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 90 lakh from Deoghar Treasury. He also appeared in the court of special judge S S Prasad in connection with case number RC 68A/96 which is related to withdrawal of Rs 37 crore from Chaibasa treasury.

Mr Yadav also appeared in the court of special CBI judge Pradeep Kumar in case number RC 47A/96 which is related to withdrawal of Rs 139 crore from from Doranda Treasury of Ranchi. Lawyer of Mr Yadav  Prabhat Kumar said that Mr Yadav appeared before the three special  judges.

He said that former Union Minister Jaiprakash Narayan Yadav and Md Januel who were issued summons by the court also appeared before the judges. He said that hearing in both the case would continue tomorrow and on Saturday and on both the days Mr Yadav would be appearing in the courts. (AGENCIES)
