JAMMU : The chopper service to the Vaishno Devi shrine was suspended due to dense fog gripping the Trikuta Hills situated in Reasi district.
“As dense fog covered the entire region including the Trikuta Hills, the chopper service, to the helipad for the Vaishno Devi pilgrims remained suspended since morning due to poor visibility,” a police official here said.
He also advised pilgrims to be alert while performing the yatra as there was continuous rains and fog in the region.
“Dense fog also disrupted roadways traffic besides helicopter service,” he said adding that the services was earlier suspended yesterday in the morning and resumed in the afternoon. (AGENCIES)
