JAMMU, Sept 5: A delegation of Federation of Industries, Jammu (FoIJ) under the chairmanship of Lalit Mahajan, its Chairman, along with Rajesh Jain, Deepak Dhawan, Jatinder Aul Co-Chairpersons, Virendra Jain secretary general and other Executive Committee members of FoIJ in presence of Sham Lal Langer, convenor Industries and Trade Cell BJP JKUT, called on Vivek Bhardwaj, Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Finance, Industries & Commerce Department, at his Office Chamber today.
Mahajan appreciated the steps taken by Industries & Commerce Department for the speedy growth of Industrial Sector in JKUT as per the package of incentive 2021 notified by Govt of India and the package of incentives under the Industrial Policy 2021-30 of Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
During discussions the issues related Industries and Finance Department highlighted for early resolution which includes conversion of lease holder rights of industrial units in to free hold, marketing support to Industrial Sector in the local purchase, pending registration/ reimbursement claims with DPIIT under package of incentives IDS-2017, extension of central package 2021 to existing industries under substantial expansion, annual maintenance cost imposed by J&K SIDCO/SICOP for existing industries, deposit of 100% land premium for the allotment of land to prospective investors, industrial representation in the boards, proposed hike in Power tariff, extension in validity of provisional registration period beyond June 30, 2022, one time opportunity for the sanction of time barred GST reimbursement claims against SRO No.-519/521/63 & 431 (upto 31-03-2021) pending with the State Taxes Department Jammu, reimbursement of amount deducted by the State Tax Department from the Budgetary support claims under SRO No. 519/521 and 63 in the light of Clarification No. FD-ST/29/2022-23 dated 26-04-22 issued by Finance Department and requested for early resolution of the issues raised by FoIJ.
Financial Commissioner (ACS) Finance, Industries & Commerce Department, gave a patient hearing in respect of the issues raised by FoIJ.
