JAMMU, May 10: Federation of Industries Jammu (FoIJ) has requested the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Financial Commissioner Finance Department Arun Kumar Mehta for the extension time for the filing of GST reimbursement and budgetary support claims for the QE 31-3-2021 keeping in mind the current situation of COVID-19 in whole of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Lalit Mahajan, Chairman FoIJ draws the kind attention of the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha towards the difficulties being faced by the Industrial Units of UT J&K due to current situation of COVID-19 in whole of the UT. Due to restricted movement of staff, the uploading of the online claims is very difficult, he added.
He demanded instant relief to the Industrial Units including immediate release of payments of Industrial Units in respect of reimbursement claims of CGST/SGST and budgetary support pending with the State Tax Department upto 31-12-2020, extension in the date of the filing of GST returns, one time relaxation for filing the Time Barred GST reimbursement claims, extension in the repayment period of GECL Scheme which is going to be started from June 2021 and reduction in the margin of working capital from 25 per cent at present to 10 per cent till 31-03-2022.
