Food Safety Appellate Tribunal becomes functional at Jammu

JAMMU, Feb 23: Food Safety Appellate Tribunal has become functional at Jammu with former District and Sessions Judge Maharaj Krishan Hanjura assuming charge of Presiding Officer.
This is in pursuance of SRO-371 issued vide Notification dated November 18, 2016 of Health and Medical Education Department.
Hanjura reviewed the arrangements being made to ensure smooth functioning of the Tribunal, which will hear all the appeals against the orders of Adjudicating Officers.
Earlier, Hanjura was appointed Member (J) of National Company Law Tribunal but he tendered his resignation few days back to take up assignment in Jammu.
