JAMMU, Apr 18: The J&K Forest Contractors & MFP Industrial Association (JKFCA) discussed their burning issues and urged the Government to rehabilitate people associated with this trade.
In a meeting of the Association held here today, the members projected their burning issues. They urged the Government to provide a package for the rehabilitation of the people associated with this trade/ industry. They also appreciated the senior Forest officials for their role to create awareness about forest produce regulation to the Panchayat system and involving stake holders. They said that due to ban on extraction of several forest produces, they are unable to take up the trade. There was urgent need to rehabilitate these people, they pleaded.
