KATHUA, Nov 16: The Forest Department, Basholi retrieved four kanals of land from the clutches of land encroacher at village Mandla , Basholi.
As per reports a team of Forest officials from Forest Division Kathua led by DFO, Basholi Abhijeet Joshi and Anti Encroachment Team headed by Forest Range Officer, Varinder Singh raided at Prime Chunk of land and retrieved four kanals of forest land on which a tin shed was constructed by Gushi Devi, W/o Ashok Kumar of village Mandla at Compartment No 22/ BSL near Mandla .
The land encroached 10 years before has been retrieved and the tin structure was also demolished by the forest team.
The DFO Basholi, Abhijeet Joshi said that Forest Department has continued its drive against the illegal encroachers and more than 400 Kanals of Forest land has been so far retrieved from the illegal possession of land encroachers. The Department also issued warning to some encroachers to vacate the land without any delay.
