JAMMU, Jan 1: A meeting of Jammu Kashmir Forest Dev Corporation employees was called through video conference by Suresh Sharma spokesman of Jammu Kashmir Forest Corporation Employees Forum (JKFCEF) and it was noted with pain that the management has miserably failed to release 71% deficit DA, 7 p.c report , hold DPC, regularise daily wagers and ensure timely salary to its employees.
The Forum said every time employees have to cry and demonstrate even for release of salary. They appealed Lt Governor and Chief Secretary to intervene and direct management FDC to immediately consider legitimate demands as the employee are badly hit by the sky rocketing prices.
The employees are working in far flung areas of remote forests to generate revenue in this chilling environment on trimmed salary due non release of 71%DA and 7 p.c. benefits which is inhumane and criminal on the part of management.
Sharma cautioned the management not to test the patience of employees any more and cooperation of JKFCEF should not be construed as weakness. “We don’t believe in confrontation in the interest of institution but cannot be cowed down by unilateral and cohesive policies of the management,” he added.
Soon the Forum Executive will be meeting Commissioner Forests and Finance before finalising any agitational programme. He also castigated the working of the Provident Fund Commissioner JKUT which has miserably failed to redress the problems of lakhs of PF subscribers including FDC since formation of UT.
He appealed the Government to immediately intervene and clear the man-made hardships created by CPF offices in the UT and update the accounts of each subscriber with full interest as allowed by GoI from time to time otherwise employees will not hesitate to come on roads and responsibility will be entirely of the Government.
