Forest officers delegation calls on ACS, projects issues

JAMMU, Feb 16: A delegation of All J&K Non Gazetted Forest Officers Association (NGFOA) today called on Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Forests, Dheeraj Gupta in his office chamber here today and projected the issues of the Forest officers.
Led by Rajinder Singh Parihar (Range Officer, Gool), president of the NGFOA and assisted by general secretary, Ghulam Nabi War, Provincial president- Gurcharan Singh, Divisional president -Nitin Charak and others, the members discussed the pending issues of the Forest officers and other employees and sought immediate intervention of the Additional Chief Secretary.
They strongly demanded reorganization of the Forest Department which is pending for the last several decades, removal of pay anomaly of the Dy Foresters/Foresters and Rangers, provision of two and half days salary to the field staff and conduct of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting which is pending for the last several years and holding it regularly in future.
The NGFOA members on behalf of the employees also expressed gratitude to the Addl Chief Secy, Dheeraj Gupta for conducting large scale overdue reshuffle of all cadre in the Forest Department in a transparent manner. The Association acknowledged the commitment of the Forest authorities for bringing transparency in the Forest Department.
Dheeraj Gupta assured the delegation to address Forest Officers’ pending issues on priority and ensure early conduct of DPC of the cadre.
