BATOTE, Sept 15: The forest officials of Batote Forest Range today launched an eviction drive and evicted 15 kanals of land from illegal possession.
The drive was carried out in Dhalwas Beat Forest Compartment No. 22b/Btt located at Village Sana by team a headed by Vijay Khosla, Range Officer Batote.
Other officers of the team including Raj Kumar Sharma, Block Officer Sanasar, along with front line forest staff, officials of FPF duly assisted by Police personnel and revenue team headed by Naib Tehsildar, Sanasar Abdul Rashid (Duty Magistrate) were also the part of drive.
The team successfully fenced the encroached Forest land at Sana and evicted 15 kanals of Reserved Forest land from the illegal possession of Abdul Qayoom S/o Nabia, Vishwa Nath S/o Ramu and Abdul Hamid S/o Subhan all resident of Sana.
The entire operation was carried under close supervision of Kuldeep Singh, Divisional Forest Officer Batote and directions of Jitendra Kumar Singh IFS, Conservator of Forests Chenab Circle Doda.
