Former BJP leader joins Congress

SRINAGAR, Sept 16:  In a significant development, former BJP State Chief Spokesperson (SC Morcha) Manohar Lal Rao resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and joined the Indian National Congress (INC) under the leadership of J&K PCC President Tariq Hameed Karra, in Srinagar today.
Welcoming Rao in the Congress family, Karra and AICC secretary, Baldev Singh Sandhu, praised his decision to join the party.
Manohar Lal Rao, a respected leader with strong roots in J&K, has assured to work tirelessly for the Congress party’s victory in the upcoming elections, particularly in Bishnah, Ramban, and Kathua constituencies, where he has a strong personal influence.
“I am committed to working for the people of J&K and ensuring the Congress party’s triumph in these constituencies,” Rao said.
