JAMMU, Dec 19: Former bureaucrat and noted social activist, Mohd Aslam Laigoro today joined Congress Party in presence of PCC chief, Ghulam Ahmed Mir here today.
Mr Laigoro has worked in various capacities in the State Government. He has served the State as Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Vice Chairman of Srinagar Development Authority and Director Estates besides Managing Director, State Financial Corporation.
PCC chief while welcoming Mr Laigoro in the party fold said that he has served the State and its people to the best of his ability and hoped that Mr Laigoro would continue to work as a Congress man for the development of the State and its people.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included former Minister Sham Lal Sharma, PCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, G N Monga-MLC, PYC president Pranav Shagotra, Neeraj Gupta, Abid Kashmiri, Sahil Farooq and others.
