RAJOURI, Sept 17: The state president of Congress Tariq Hameed Karra today isited Shahdara Sharief shrine and prayed for the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He also addressed the joint meeting of Congress and NC workers at Shahdara Sharief. Many people joined the Congress Party in the presence of Tariq Hameed Karra.
The prominent among those included – social activist, freelance journalist, advocate and senior bureaucrat (Retd) Ch. Rashid Azam Inqlabi, who joined the Congress Party in the presence of Congress Contesting candidate Iftakhar Ahmed and Shabir Ahmed Khan former Minister of State.
While addressing the gathering Shabir Ahmed Khan said that due to the joining of Ch Rashid Azam Inqlabi former Deputy Commissioner and Director School Education, the Congress Party surely gets boost in all the constituencies of district Rajouri, as Inqlabi during his service worked, with dedication for the upliftment of people of all the sections of the society.
He further said that Inqlabi belongs to Gujjar community and have a good reputation among the public of Rajouri.
Iftakhar Ahmed Congress contesting candidate also welcomed Ch Rashid Azam Inqlabi in Congress fold and hoped that Inqlabi works for the party with dedication. Tariq Hameed Karra while addressing appealed the party activists to work hard. He also welcomed all the new entrants in the party.
