JAMMU, Oct 21: Former Commissioner Bureau of Civil Aviation Security and founder Hony Secretary of J&K Regional Branch of IIPA Veerana Aivalli has been conferred prestigious Paul H Appleby award (posthumously).
Vice President of India Mohd Hamid Ansari presented the award in a function held at the Union capital. Swarna Aivalli, wife of Late Aivalli received this award at a function held at Union Capital two days back. He is the first person from the State to get this award. Other senior members of the IIPA Dr Ashok Bhan, Dr C M Seth and Dr S K Koul were also present on this occasion. He is the first person from the State to get this award.
Paul H Appleby Award is the conferred annually by Indian Institute of Public Administration New Delhi to honour its members who have rendered their distinguished services to IIPA and to Public Administration by way of their association with important committees of the institute or have made substantial contribution in the activities of institute.
