SRINAGAR, June 15: Former senior officer of Jammu and Kashmir Information Department, who also remained associated with an English Daily after his retirement, Abdul Rashid Shaheen died here, this morning.
He was 70.
Shaheen breathed his last at his residence, family sources said.
Shaheen was associated with an English Daily here as an Associate Editor for few years after his retirement as Joint Director of Information Department, Kashmir.
He was also contributing to some outside state newspapers and electronic media.
Media organisations have expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Shaheen.
