Srinagar, July 18: Vikram Randhawa, former Legislator today called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha here at Raj Bhawan.
The former legislator discussed with the Lt Governor various issues of public importance including the issue of mining in Tawi River.
He apprised the Lt Governor about the danger of floods in around 45 villages because of raised riverbed in Tawi, and demanded steps for speedy resolution of resuming mining activity in the Tawi.
The former Legislator expressed gratitude to the Lt Governor for announcing 10 percent reservation for ‘Agniveers’ in JKP while addressing the monthly ‘Awaam Ki Awaaz’ programme.
The Lt Governor listening to the issues put forth by the former legislator assured him that his genuine issues would be taken up with the concerned quarters of the UT administration for their early redressal. He urged Randhawa to continue his endeavours towards public welfare.
