Former Minister’s son joins PDP

Srinagar, Sept 8: The son of former Minister Ghulam Hassan Khan today joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Majid Khan who hails from Shopian in South Kashmir, joined the PDP at a function held here.
Khan expressed his reasons for joining the PDP, citing his admiration for the unwavering commitment of its president Mehbooba Mufti in the fight against the injustices faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir. “His decision to join the party reflects his dedication to work towards the betterment of the region and its residents,” a PDP spokesman said in a statement.
Welcoming Khan into the party fold, Mehbooba said: “I am delighted to welcome Majid into the Peoples Democratic Party. His father, Ghulam Hassan Khan, was not only a dedicated soldier of our party but also a close associate of Mufti Sahab. He worked tirelessly towards the upliftment of our people and the strengthening of our party. Majid has come back home after being away for a while, and his presence will undoubtedly contribute to our mission of serving the people of Jammu and Kashmir.”
