RAMBAN, Sept 29: Former MLA, Ashok Kumar staged a demonstration against the Government of Jammu and Kashmir and demanded immediate justice for the vendors engaged under Municipal Council Ramban, here today.
He expressed serious concern over the indifferent behaviour of MC Ramban towards the poor vendors in Bus Stand area and urged the Director Urban Local Bodies to take immediate cognizance of the matter.
He further said that the poor vendors are paying Rs 1600 per month to the MC Ramban and instead of creating recreational or other facilities to the vendors; the Municipal Council is misbehaving with them which is a great injustice to the poor people.
“It is a shame for MC Ramban that despite receiving revenues from the vendors, no recreational facilities are being provided to them, he added.
Congress Ramban city president, Pardeep Singh Raju along with others protestors were also present during the demonstration.
