JAMMU, Feb 17: Ex MLC, Vikram Randhawa and Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Shardha Kumari here today started installation work of new electricity distribution system and poles in Ward 47.
A handout stated that installation of poles will be conducted by L&T Company under Pradhan Mantri Deen Dayal Upadhyay scheme wherein new LT Aerial bunched cables will be installed to avoid bungling of wires.
Speaking on the occasion, Randhawa said, “All the old poles and electricity distribution conductors will be replaced by a much cleaner AB cables electricity distribution system by which the problem of electricity stealing using hooks will be prevented.”
Councillor Sharda Kumari said that electric poles in Ward 47 were installed many years back in irregular manner due to which many problems were caused but now the new electric system will reduce accidents due to bungling of wires.
Vinay Gupta, district president BJP; Narinder Koki, secretary BJP; Vivek Patyal, Karuna Khetri, Sunny Sangral, Sumit Kumar and others were also present on the occasion.
