SAMBA, May 31: A former VDC SPO and an old man ended their lives by committing suicide in two different villages of Samba district today.
Police said, the former VDC SPO Raj Singh, son of Nek Ram resident of Taloor committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Taloor village of Sumb area. As soon as the family members saw him, they immediately brought him to the District Hospital Samba where the doctor declared him as dead. After a post mortem in the hospital, the dead body was handed over to the relatives for the last rites.
The second case was reported from Thalori village falling under jurisdiction of Vijaypur Police Station where an old man ended his life by hanging himself. The deceased has been identified as 64-year-old Parshotam Sharma, son of Puran Chand resident of Ward No. 01 Thalori. After the post-mortem, the dead body was handed over to the relatives for the last rites. On the other hand, the police have started further investigation by registering a case in the Police Station Samba and Vijaypur.
