NEW DELHI, Sept 16: Research firm Forrester will host its ‘CIO Summit’ at Gurgaon on September 26, an event that will see global analysts and industry experts discuss on the increasing importance of innovation and disruptive technologies on business decisions.
Forrester is hosting CIO Summits aimed at taking Chief Information Officers through their journey from IT to business technology, Forrester said in a statement.
The event will feature Forrester analysts as speakers, it added. The Singapore edition of CIO Summit took place on September 6, while it was hosted in Sydney on September 13.
Key business issues that currently plague CIOs will be discussed including business technology strategic planning, innovation and disruptive technologies.
“CIOs today are developing and executing joint business technology strategic planning processes to ensure that technology components are embedded in business planning. There is also a need to nurture and facilitate technology-led innovation throughout the enterprise by changing existing rigid process in favour of a more agile and lean approach,” Forrester Research Vice President and Country Manager (India) Manish Bahl said.
Apart from these, how CIOs can collaborate and engage with employees, partners, and customers using social and mobile technologies and identify opportunities for agility, efficiency and growth by leveraging new disruptive technologies will also be discussed, he added.
Industry speakers at the event will include Neena Pahuja (CIO, Max Healthcare), Mukund Prasad (Group CIO, Welspun Group), Vijay Sethi (CIO, Hero Motocorp) and Ajay Dhir (Group CIO, Lanco Infratech). (PTI)
