Forum for Victims of Turmoil holds meet, highlights migrants issues

JAMMU, Dec 9: The Forum for Victims of Turmoil held a meeting at Jagti township today under the leadership of its Chairman, Dilip Pandita in which the recent visit of the Chief Secretary to the township was discussed.
The meeting highlighted the burning issues being faced by the inmates of township including the renovation of lanes, roads and repairing of drains.
The meeting said the long pending demand of allotment of shops to the deserving people needs attention on priority. The other issues including the insanitation problem faced by inmates of township, water supply and enhancement of cash assistance which needed immediate attention of the Government were highlighted in the meeting. It further demanded bank loans for over-aged KP youth under start-up schemes etc. The meeting categorically rejected any move of charging fee from camp inmates for any development scheme in the camp. It also tooth and nail opposed proposed move of a Housing Society in Kashmir and said any such proposal should be discussed with public.
Others who attended the meeting included Surinder Kumar, Nana Ji, Raj Nath Dhar, Veer Ji Raina, Girdhari Lal ,Bushan Lal and Jagar Nath etc.
