JAMMU, Dec 22: Pahari Tribe ST Forum has categorically criticized the false propaganda of so called Gupkar alliance regarding the wedge between Pahari tribe and Gujjar Bakarwal tribe of J&K UT.
Forum in one voice treated this as a conspiracy to dilute the due cause of Pahari Tribe who are living very cordially with their fellow Gujjar Bakarwal brothers. Forum claimed that at every step they supported and hailed Government for extending support to Gujjar Bakarwal brothers whether the instance of extending scholarship to them, rendering ST status, implementing forest right act, lifting inter district recruitment and many more.
Forum lambasted all those in the Gupkar who delivered discrimination and sheer injustice with the people of Pahari Tribe by not raising the due cause with acute concern and intensity in past and more importantly this time if someone is showing positive attitude towards the cause of Pahari Tribe ST status and they are spitting venom against them.
Forum pointed that many intellectuals and prominent leaders of Gujjar Bakarwal tribe has stated in favour of due ST Status to the Pahari Tribe without hampering their rights and has also reiterated that they will stand with their cause of getting due ST status and in this course whosoever shall try to oppose their due cause they will lambast there with full gravity.
Those who addressed press meet include Bharat Bushan Vaid, Qyum Mir, Munir Mirza, Pervaz Khan and Rizwan Baraq.
