Four arrested for smuggling bovines

JAMMU, May 18: Manwal police arrested four persons and rescued three bovine animals from their possession, which they were trying to smuggle to Valley.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Manwal police post laid a naka and intercepted a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JKO2AQ-8995.
During checking, police rescued three bovine animals and arrested four persons, who have been identified as Maskin Ali and Masoom Ali, sons of Raham Ali, residents of Rakh Baroti, tehsil Vijaypur, Mohammad Zahoor, son of Gulam Rasool of Ramgarh and Talib Hussain, son of Masoom Ali of Chak Salaria.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Manwal police post SI Tribhuwan Khajuria made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Ravinder Singh, SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
