Four-day First-Aid Training Course concludes

JAMMU, Dec 9: A 4-day First-Aid Training Programme specially designed for the Commercial Vehicle License holders concluded here today at Red Cross Bhawan, Kachi Chawni.
The programme was organized by Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Jammu Region under the aegis of St John Ambulance (India) Regional Centre, Jammu on the directions of Dr Pawan Kotwal, Chairman of IRCS, Jammu Region and Divisional Commissioner, Jammu.
The training was started on December 6 in which 30 participants took active part. The training was imparted with the sole motto to train the common masses especially the drivers/conductors in order to save the precious lives during un-toward incidents.
The training was imparted by the subject consultants namely Dr Rajinder Thappa, CMO, GMCH, Jammu, Dr ML Sharma, BMO (Retd), Dr Simriti, Medical Officer of Red Cross Dispensary whereas the test of the trainees was conducted by Dr Kavita Nijohn, Medical Officer assisted by Joginder Kumar, Pharmacist.
Prominent among others who were present on the conclusion of the First Aid Training Programme were Sita Ram Sharma, Member, Executive Committee, IRCS, Jammu Region.
The training programme was conducted under the supervision of RC Puri, Hony Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Region, Jammu.
