POONCH, May 20: Police here today detained four drug addicts and peddlers.
A patrolling party and flying squad vehicle party of Police Station Poonch apprehended the four persons from different locations within the jurisdiction of Police Station Poonch under suspicious conditions.
During search of these persons syringes and silver papers were recovered from their possession.
On questioning these persons disclosed their identity as Abid Ali, son of Abdul Majeed, resident of Qazi Mohra, Poonch; Wazid Hussain, son of Azad Hussain, resident of Mangnar, Poonch; Mohd Aftab, son of Mohd Javed, resident of Mangnar, Poonch and Asif Hussain Shah, son of Mohd Ameen Shah, resident of Nangali, Poonch. These persons who were roaming in the area for drug consumption and during enquiry it came to fore that these were habitual drug addicts who also used to sell drugs among the youth and some are also involved in theft cases
