JAMMU, May 25: Miran Sahib, Gandhi Nagar and Gadigarh Police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested four drug peddlers and recovered heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station RS Pura during checking near Banota Pulli apprehended a person along with 10 grams of heroin.
The accused has been identified as Abhinash Kumar alias Thapa, son of Chaman Lal, a resident of Banota Tehsil RS Pura District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 79/19 under section 8/21/22/27-A/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station RS Pura and investigation started.
Police team led by ASI Mohammad Fazal made the arrest under the supervision of SHO RS Pura Inspector Chanchal Singh, SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prashar, SP Headquarters Farooq Qaiser and SSP Jammu Tajinder Singh.
In another similar case, a team from Police Station Gandhi Nagar led by ASI Som Nath during checking at Ghoda Chowk arrested two drug peddlers along with 10 grams heroin and 280 grams of white powder suspected to be narcotic.
The accused have been identified as Fayaz Ahmed, son of Abdul Hamid of Melpora, Shopian and Mohammad Rafiq Bhat, son of Ghulam Hussain of Sanzan, Pulwama.
A case under FIR Number 137/19 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Gadigarh Police Post led by HC Bharat Singh during checking intercepted a Maruti Alto car.
During frisking, police team recovered 10 grams heroin from the possession of the arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Ajeet Singh alias Rajan, son of Daya Singh of Karan Bagh, Gadigarh.
A case under FIR Number 104/19 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Satwari and investigation of the case is going on.
