Four drug peddlers arrested with heroin

JAMMU, May 11: Miran Sahib, Pacca Danga and Chanderkote Police arrested four drug peddlers and recovered heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Inspector Sultan Mirza laid a naka at Balol bridge and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number HP39E-3426.
During checking, police team recovered 10 grams heroin and two weighing machines from the possession of the driver and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Sahil Kumar, son of Tarsem Lal of Nandpur Miran Sahib.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Pacca Danga led by SHO Inspector Ajit Singh during checking intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During frisking, police team recovered 5.28 grams heroin along with polythene pouches from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Parshant Sharma, son of late Joginder Sharma, a resident of Dewan Mandir Kachhi Chawni District Jammu.
The arrests and recoveries were made under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan and SDPO North Sharad Kalu.
However, a team from Police Station Chanderkote led by PSI Madhav Sharma laid a naka and intercepted Alto car bearing registration number JK11A-1609.
During checking, police team recovered heroin, 1 weighing machine and 25 small polythene pouches from two persons travelling in the car and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Vinod Kumar, son of Om Prakash of Dera Baba Banda, District Reasi and Arjun Singh, son of Nasib Singh of Kayala District Reasi.
The entire operation was conducted under the guidance of SHO Chanderkote Inspector Vijay Choudhary, Additional SP Ramban Rajni Sharma and SSP Ramban PD Nitya.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Miran Sahib, Pacca Danga and Chanderkote Police Stations and investigation started.
