JAMMU, Jan 27: Peer Mitha Police arrested four gamblers along with Rs 5200 stake money and playing cards.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Peer Mitha led by SHO Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq under the supervision of SDPO City North Sharad Kalu and SP City Kulbir Handa conducted raid near DC Office Jammu and arrested four gamblers along with Rs 5200 stake money and playing cards.
The arrested persons were identified as Ishtiaq Ahmed, a resident of Mohallah Dalpatian District Jammu, Mohammad Hanief of Panasa District Reasi, at present Gujjar Nagar District Jammu, Lucky Kumar of Bazigar Basti Bagh-e-Bahu District Jammu and Mohammad Maqbool of Gujjar Nagar District Jammu.
Cognizance under Section 4/5 Gambling Act has been taken against the arrested persons by Peer Mitha Police.
