JAMMU, Jan 10: Gandhi Nagar police arrested four gamblers and seized Rs 3,210 stake money and playing cards.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gandhi Nagar police station conducted a raid and arrested four gamblers along with Rs 3,210 stake money and playing cards.
The accused have been identified as Naresh Kumar, son of Om Parkash of Trikuta Nagar, Yashant Singh, son of Yashpal Singh of Bakshi Nagar, Paras Ram, son of Labbu Ram of Sunderbani, district Rajouri and Kulbhushan Sharma, son of Sham Sunder of Purani Mandi.
A case under Gambling Act has been registered against them at police station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar police station Inspector Bishnesh Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Gandhi Nagar Sachin Gupta, SP South Shaazad Salaria and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
