Four gamblers arrested with stake money

SAMBA, Mar 3: Bari-Brahmana Police today arrested four gamblers and recovered stake money of Rs 8,390 from their possession.
“Acting on specific information regarding gambling, a team of Police Station Bari-Brahmana raided the gambling spot near Telli Basti and arrested 4 gamblers along with stake money of Rs 8,390 and a set of playing cards,” a police spokesman said.
He said the arrested gamblers were identified as Swaran Kumar son of Boj Ram and Lok Nath Kosali son of Firtu Ram, both residents of Chhattisgarh (at present living in Telli Basti, Bari Brahmana), Arshad Hussain son of Wazir Mohd of Rajiv Colony (Bari Brahmana) and Yad Ram son of Tula Ram of Chhattisgarh (at present Rajiv Colony, Bari Brahmana).
“Taking cognizance into the matter, all the gamblers were booked under Section 13 of Gambling Act at PS Bari-Brahmana,” the spokesman added.
