Four gamblers held

JAMMU, July 22: Police arrested four gamblers and recovered Rs 2000 as bet money from their possession.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Gandhi Nagar Police Station conducted raid near cremation ground, Shastri Nagar and arrested four gamblers, who have been identified as Tirath Kumar, son of Krishan Lal of Rampura, Madan Lal, son of Gardhor of Narwal, Vijay Singh, son of Koul Singh of Jeevan Nagar and Ram Chand, son of Sain Dass of Phallian Mandal. Rs 2000 and play cards were recovered from their possession, he added.
A case under Gambling Act was registered at Gandhi Nagar polcie station, he said, adding that all were bailed out later.
