JAMMU, Sept 14: Police today arrested four gamblers along with Rs 2,100 stake money and playing cards from Simbli Wala area, falling under the jurisdiction of Kanachack police station.
A police spokesman said that, on specific information, police team from Kanachack police station conducted a raid in Simbli Wala area and arrested four gamblers along with Rs 2,100 and playing cards.
The accused have been identified as Ashok Singh, son of Puran Singh and Shakti Singh, son of Naseeb Singh, both residents of Marjali, Ashok Kumar, son of Bal Krishan of Simbli Wala and Rajinder Singh, son of Satpaul of Patoli.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered at Kanachack police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Rakesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sanjay Parihar.
