SAMBA, June 8: Under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba (SSP) Benam Tosh, Police has achieved a major success and arrested four hardcore criminals involved in attempt to murder cases and drug trafficking.
The arrested accused have been identified as most wanted heroin supplier Jugraj Singh alias Yoddha son of Balkar Singh of Amritsar (Punjab), Rajinder Kumar alias Sheru son of Rattan Lal of Joian (Bishnah), Rohit Kumar alias Pakh son of Bachan Lal of Joian (Bishnah) and Liyakat Ali alias Billo son of Sardar Ali of Salmeri (Vijaypur, Samba).
Yoddha had been operating from Punjab and supplying huge quantity of heroin like a wholesaler to the local heroine suppliers of Samba and adjoining districts. He was wanted in several NDPSA cases including a case FIR Number 33/2023 U/S 8/21/25/29 NDPS registered at Police Station Ghagwal in which Police had seized huge Indian currency amounting to Rs 16,71,520 and heroin.
Samba Police had been conducting raids at several places in Amritsar and other places in Punjab to nab Yoddha. Finally, Police succeeded in arresting him from Amritsar by conducting nocturnal raids and he is being subjected to sustained interrogation.
Hardcore criminals Rajinder Kumar and Rohit Kumar have been arrested by Ramgarh Police in an attempt to murder case registered vide FIR Number 29/23 U/S 307/451/323/504/34 IPC in its Police Station. Police was conducting raids to arrest them since the very first day when they attempted to murder a shopkeeper by stabbing him in the back.
Accused Liyakat Ali has been arrested by a team of Police Station Bari Brahmana in a case FIR Number 131/2023 U/S 307/341/332/504/506/147/148 IPC.
The criminals were arrested by Police teams comprising of SHO Police Station Ghagwal Bharat Bhushan, SHO Police Station Ramgarh Sudesh Kumar, SHO Police Station Bari Brahmana Sunil Sharma, SI Harbhajan Singh and PSI Rakesh Singh under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana Rahul Nagar and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.
