UDHAMPUR, Oct 7: In two separate cases, four drug peddlers were arrested today along with 20.21 grams of heroin (chitta).
“During naka checking at Phalata, a team of Police Station Rehambal apprehended 3 suspected persons during their personal search, 15.21 g of heroin (chitta) was recovered,” a Police spokesman said, adding, the suspects identified as Mohd Farooq son of Mohd Yousuf of Bari Brahmna, Shakeel Ahmed son of Abdul Hamid of Purmandal and Anil Kumar son of Romesh Chander of Surinsar, were arrested on spot and recovered ‘chitta’ seized.
The spokesman said in another case, a team of Police Station Rehambal during naka checking near Kali Mata Mandir (Rehambal) arrested a suspect namely Sunil Singh son of late Munshi Ram of Rehambal and on search, recovered 5 g ‘chitta’ from his possession. The accused was arrested on spot and recovered contraband seized.
In both cases, separate cases were registered at Police Station Rehambal under relevant sections of law.
