Four houses damaged in inferno

SRINAGAR, May 21: Four residential houses today were damaged and a firefighter was injured in a blaze incident at Batwara area of uptown city.
An official said the fire broke out broke out today in residential house at Batwara and it engulfed nearby residential houses. Immediately after the outbreak of fire, the fire tenders were rushed to the spot which started dousing fire, he said.
The official said one house from where fire emerged was completely gutted while other houses also suffered damage. A firefighter was injured after he fell down from one storey while dousing the fire and he was rushed to nearby hospital for treatment.
After more than two hours, the firefighters managed to douse the fire. There was however no loss of life in the inferno.
