Four injured as vehicle plunges into gorge

POONCH, July 19: Four passengers were injured after a Tata Sumo vehicle they were traveling in plunged into a rivulet in Mendhar area this evening.
According to reports, the Tata Sumo vehicle bearing registration number JK12-3450, skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in Kalaban area, resulting into injuries to four passengers. Immediately after the incident, the injured were rescued from the site and taken to the Government SDH Mendhar for medical treatment.
The injured were identified as Gulshaid Bi (30) wife of Khalid Hussain of Simkon, Mumtaz Ahmed (25) son of Mohd Shokat of Narol as well as Asif Khan (23) son of Mohd Aziz and Farqan (4) son of Javed Iqbal (both residents of Kalaban area).
Asif Khan and Gulshaid Bi were later referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri as their condition was stated to be critical.
Meanwhile, a case under relevant section of law was registered in this connection at Police Station Mendhar.
